When driving by the manufacturing site of Lolly Wolly Doodle on Old Hargrave Road the past several weeks, one may have wondered why the facility and parking lot appears closed.
That’s because Lolly Wolly Doodle no longer manufactures in Lexington.
According to Sherry Frydenlund, CEO of Lolly Wolly Doodle, Atlanta is now the main location through a contract manufacturer. It was temporarily in Charlotte.
Lolly Wolly Doodle, a multi-million-dollar company, sells custom women and children’s clothing online. It was founded by Davidson County native Brandi Temple in 2009. The company sells its items through multiple online channels, including its own website, but a majority of its sales are conducted through Facebook.
In September 2017, the Stage Fund, a Denver-based investment firm, purchased the company.
Dan Frydenlund, CEO of the Stage Fund, said the company is on a good growth path.
“It’s turning into a true e-commerce company now — that was the objective when I bought the company,” Frydenlund said.
